Graphite on Bristol board, 14" x 12", 2025.

Dramatic clouds in the sky worked very well with the model's pose to produce a sense of drama. I was thinking about David Bowie's song "Heroes" when I was working on this one. I tried to convey a sense of strong determination in her body language despite an impending doom. I also heard that this drawing reminded some people of Andrew Wyeth's materpiece "Christina's World". I can see that.
